Roux Group Committee Elections
The Roux Group Committee positions are now open!
Applications are now open to join the Roux Group Committee. This is a great opportunity to help shape education, training and research for Upper GI trainee surgeons at a national level!
We are seeking to appoint enthusiastic individuals to the following roles in phase one of our elections:
- President-Elect
- Honorary Secretary
- Honorary Treasurer
- Education / Training Lead
- Audit / Research Lead
Applications are open to all current paid Trainee Members of AUGIS (who are not consultants). To ensure inclusivity and equality in our election process, this will include deanery trainees, non-trainees, and post-CCT Fellows.
Applicants who are current regional representatives are eligible to apply. Applicants who are current committee members are also eligible to apply for re-election.
President-Elect will be appointed as President at the end of their 1-year tenure, resulting in a 2-year term on the Roux Group Committee. Honorary treasurer will also remain in post for 2 years. The duration of the term for all other positions is 1 year, starting in April of the current year.
If successful applicants become consultants during their tenure, they will be required to step down from their role, and an election process will be triggered for their replacement.
If you wish to be considered for a role, please provide a 150-word expression of interest indicating your suitability for the role. All expressions of interest should be sent to Mr. Leo Brown, Roux Honorary Secretary, c/o Nichola Bartlett (nichola@augis.org) by Thursday 19th January 2023, 12pm (midnight).
