We are happy to announce that the third 'Fundamentals of Liver Surgery Course' will take place on the 27 April, 2023 at BOWA MEDICAL UK in Devon. The course is specifically designed for SpRs/equivalent grades who are due to start, or already are on their first HPB job. The first ‘Fundamentals of Pancreatic Surgery Course’ will also be piloted on 28 April, 2023 at the same venue.
This course will cover both theoretical knowledge and hands-on technical skills that will provide you with the appropriate tools, to enable you to get the best out of your HPB rotation.
The course is supported by AUGIS, GBIHPBA, Roux Group and is sponsored by BOWA MEDICAL UK, who are kindly hosting the course in Devon alongside faculty from across the UK.
The course fees are heavily subsidised too, at £150 (Liver only), £30 (Pancreas only) and £180 (both) for Roux members. Delegates would however need to cover their own travel and accommodation costs.
Please email Sarvjit Wunsch (sarvjit@augis.org) in the AUGIS office by 5pm on Friday 17th March to express your interest, detailing in no more than 100 words; your previous HPB experience - if any- and why you want to come on this course. The places are limited, and it will be on a first-come-first served basis for suitable candidates.
Candidates successfully chosen for the course will be notified by Monday 20th March at the latest.
Please contact the AUGIS office (nichola@augis.org or sarvjit@augis.org) if you have any questions.
